This is what Lucifer has always looked like. This is his main reference that greeted me when I was in the stages of adopting him.
I simply fell in love with the design and thought that he had the potential to become a great character. Thanks to Oynxonxa, I now have him to lead the Secret Herd. Don't be fooled by the size of the image people, looks can be deceiving... SIKE!
NO COPYING HIM!

Name: Officially known as 'The Cloaked Figure' as a sort of 'stage name'. Only a small minority know of his real name 'Lucifer'. Those who know him and don't like him will tend to shorten his name to 'Lucy' as an insult.
Age: Greatly unknown
Breed: Greatly Unknown
Gender: Stallion (♂)
Personality: 'A deceased and troublesome creature that roams the outskirts of the land, takes charge of the Secret Herd, and claims the Forbidden Forest as his.' That's an overall summary of what Lucifer does- and is. He is greedy, and would play mind tricks with almost anybody to get what he wants. Obviously, he is the secretive type; most would classify him as shy... That is, until you get to meet head-to-head with him. Nobody really knows anything much about him, but the fact that he is very passionate about raiding Killer's life, and stealing everything from him in order to fulfil his own satisfactions-this makes him one to watch out for.
Also, the fact that Lucifer is blinded by his own intentions makes him very, VERY headstrong and violent when he senses somebody trying to get in the way of his plans. He is extremely powerful when angered and plays the role of the 'fake hero' in the shadows. Many have been led to their deaths either first-handed by him, or through one of his 'mind-controlled slaves' due to them being exposed to Lucifer's powers.
History: He is at war with Killer's herd, Sudden Death because of what had happened long ago in the past. Killer and Lucifer used to be good friends back in the day, before Lucifer became crazed with silly dreams and thoughts far from normal. Instead, Lucifer decided to change his identity to one that was most secretive, and cast away into the shadows. He named himself 'The Cloaked Figure' as a title for his reputation. Everybody knows the nightmare, but none have witnessed it.
.:Back in time:.
After the all the destruction inhabited by Killer, and his life previously, the stallion had moved rapidly through; in and out of pain, death and struggle... But the main question to him was: what had he ever done to deserve it? Did he really need this to happen in order to shape who he is today? However, being the clued up type of stallion he is, Killer knew all too well that the questions he often posed to himself would never come back with an answer. Sometimes he was thankful not to have one.
He looked over the landscape sourly, observing again and again, the shape of the mountains, the curve of the forest trees, the clouds and the vast green meadows from upon the large balcony of his castle, situated on top of a colossal hill. The kings thoughts were almost interrupted by nightmares and fears. That was the mistake he often had to put up with when coming to a quiet place to think.
Killer was proud to call all this land his own... However, he knew that; just over the border, the endless land was separated into three other sections belonging to the rival herds... He need not know who's the Forbidden Forest belonged to though, as most of it lay upon his own territory. A foggy, intoxicating, poisonous, dark, dreary and dangerous place... Perfect for somebody who loved living life in the shadows and who loved to stare death in the face.
Killer stood up, abruptly, pricking his ears to that thought, knowing that only he could fit in that category. Killer looked around, observing the almost silent atmosphere surrounding him, sensing an uneasiness in the air. He looked to the ground, and then wheeled round, startled, when the sound of a loud, ear-ringing bang caught his attention.
"SIR! SIR! We have some important news to tell you! Our undercover spies have found a youngster wondering about in restricted areas, we think that you'd like to look him over before we decide to let him go..."
Killer breathed out deeply, gritting his teeth together as a cold shiver crept up his spine. 'This should be fairly interesting...' The stallion thought, as he batted off the thought, swishing his tail with a hint of irritation...
"Okay Raphael. Who was responsible for finding this 'youngster'?"
Raphael, the kings' trusty guard, (and also a horse well-known for trickery, treachery and mockery) looked back at Death's Entrance and Imp.
"It wasn't a who, per-say, Sir... It was 'us'... We all found him. I say; Death! Imp! Bring him in. The Kings' interested to see our new discovery."
Death winked at Raphael, and nodded at Imp, who revealed a tiny ball of dark navy blue fur. Intricate silver-ish and white designs covered his body, and curved over his back and legs. It wasn't any normal youngster. It was a foal...
Killer raised his eyebrows at this, and then looked straight at Raphael, Death and Imp.
"I've got to say, that is one interesting find you have there... And it's the first occasion where you have chosen not to waste my time. I tell you what, lets take him to the surgeons in the hospital quarters to get his DNA analysed and certified. I want to know about where he came from, and who his next of kin are. Death, Raphael, come with me... Imp, you check for any other clues as to where he might have wandered from, get a group of spies to accompany you on the trek, and get Osiris to help track your progress. Report back to me as soon as you notice anything suspicious."
Imp looked at his king and bowed his head respectfully, before turning and galloping off to his duties.
Death and Raphael grinned at each other. "Yes sir."
When Killer had lead both his candidates to the operating theatre, he opened the doors without care, and scanned for anybody inside the room that might be able to help them. When a Doctor had noticed the king, he quickly dropped his things, and ran to him at a great speed."You are just in time sir. We have everything up and running. I can test the foal and see if he is worthy of you taking him in as an apprentice... You never know; he could be of some use to you in the future."
Death and Raphael looked hopefully at each other, then at Killer, who suddenly frowned, and turned back to his two workers. "Wait..? Take him in as my apprentice? What am I, an adoption agency? Sudden Death have enough tyrants running around causing mayhem, I don't think the carers need the extra stress... Besides, his DNA probably wont be of much use, and it might seem the most logical thing to do. Send him back to where he came from, or kill him, I cant cope with anymore members..."
Death opened his mouth wide, and pinned his ears back at the last remark of Killer's. He turned to the Doctor quickly. "Doctor, please! We can't destroy the foal! We must see what he beholds! He could be very useful to the guarding sector of Sudden Death! I'm sure Killer only speaks without mind. He is tired, and not thinking as clearly as normal. Lets test the youngster and see what happens. I can then find a carer to bring him on before arranging some combat training lessons with the assassins." The stallion spoke with such hope that Raphael bowed his head in sheer disappointment, almost as if saying to him 'you better shut up'. Whatever Death suggested seemed impossible, but being a strong headed and bright bunch, neither of the stallions were going to let this situation settle.
"Sir, we will promise to take care of him, and you will see how useful he is!"
5 YEARS LATER...
"Not so small anymore, are we, my little Lucifer?" Killer teased his younger 'apprentice' with a sly grin. Lucifer turned round and gave a half-hearted laugh, giving Killer a hard shove in the shoulder. Surprisingly, the two had a more brotherly relationship than one what was meant to be professional; and no more formal than two kids fighting over a toy. Lucifer (the foal that was found by Death, Imp and Raphael) had grown up quicker than anybody had expected. When he was tested by the surgeons, they gave the thumbs up that his type of genetics and bio-chemistry was a perfect blend of an athlete, and a heavy horse. Killer needed the strength, the speed, and the agility to make a perfect Sudden Death member. When Lucifer had started to grow up, Killer (with assistance from the others) had closely monitored his progress, and his growth rate. Things were always cropping up, convincing Killer that maybe this foal was truly something.
Today was the day where things were entitled to change. Lucifer needed to receive training, and preparation for combat training, not to mention the task of getting his fitness up. Completing missions was no doubt exhausting.
Killer looked around, studying the environment before approaching Lucifer, and resting his large bladed wing over the horses' shoulder.
"You really have changed into something quite extraordinary, my friend... Now it is time for you to be put to the test. The assassins have set up an assault course for you to complete. I know you're capable of battling it as you have the attitude and mental capacity for it. This has been specifically designed for your needs, it will test you and give us an idea of what you are capable of."
Lucifer, although not as easily annoyed as Killer, pawed the ground in a small flare of anger. He sighed and then shook his head, as if he were disappointed by finding out this news. "I want to see what's in that Forest. I cant fight when there is something repetitively bothering me, it just looks so dangerous, but it raises my curiosity, and you know bloody well that I can't concentrate when there is something repetitively bothering me. Killer, let me have today off so I can look around. If you don't trust me, then why not let Death, Raph, Osiris and Imp accompany me? I mean, we are quite good mates, and I trust them and so do you. What do you say?"
Killer stiffened up his muscles, and looked up, straight into Lucifer's eyes. "You don't need to go ANYWHERE near that Forest. Do you hear me? It is forbidden, and if you even THINK that I would let those four idiots accompany you while going on such an adventure, then you must be demented."
With that, Killer folded his wings quickly into his sides before briskly making his way out of the large hall. He wasn't seen until nightfall.
Lucifer stood, dumbfounded by Killer's words. His mouth hung open like a cave. It took him about five minutes to register that he was still in the same state. The stallion shook his head, and focused on his best intentions, and the urge to explore the Forest. However, asking his four reckless buddies to join him would be the wrong thing to do, so he disappeared up to his living quarters and started making plans.
Lucifer rushed around his room, snatching up provisions and weapons for his trip. He knew that if he was to get himself into an awkward situation, he would be able to replenish and protect himself. 'Okay, I have a bow, a few arrows, a supply of hay and apples, a rope, a knife, a carton of water, and a black cape. I now need to plan how to get out of this castle without being seen...'
Just then, a thought struck him. Thankfully, Raphael and Death had been teaching him about mastering his powers. His DNA tests from the lab had proved that he had quite a few interesting abilities. This meant he could disappear and transport himself to almost anywhere he wanted to go. The only precaution was that the effects of magic were lessened greatly the further away he became from the castle. 'That doesn't matter though. Just think about what Raph and Death taught me. Let the energy build up and circulate through my veins. Let it reach full capacity and then let it take me over...'
The stallion grinned. He had done it. All the plans were in place, and he was packed ready to leave. To make sure he was safely at distance with the other members, he checked down the hallway, and then locked his door behind him, before securing the rope on the emergency hook, throwing the rope out of the window, climbing out onto the sill, and shimmying down the castle wall. When he had safely reached the bottom, he gave a sharp tug to the rope. The rope fell as soon as he pulled it free. Lucifer sighed in relief before backing the rope back into his supply bags.
Luckily, the night had arrived long before, meaning that most members from the Death herd had returned from their duties. The stallion flipped the cloak hood over his face quickly, before racing off on the back-paths leading directly to the Forbidden Forest.
